Belize/Cuba 2026

WHEN
Mar 7 2026 - Mar 13 2026
WHERE
Matanzas, CU
COST
$2,750.00

The Mission:

Cuba is an excellent place for ministry and though you can almost see Miami from Cuba (kidding), this is a legit mission experience. Cuba is still steeped in communism. It's not dangerous by any means, just very oppressive. The places you'll minister are impoverished neighborhoods, especially with impoverished children. Take heart, the church is alive, full of energy, and longs to become a force in Cuba. You can join them in this exciting quest!

The Travel:

The travel is certainly manageable. Two flights (a layover in Miami) will get you to Cuba. You will need a valid passport! The passport must NOT have an expiration date inside our trip timeframe of, or 6 months after (March 7, 2026-September 14 2026).

The Accommodations:

The team will be in local house hotels in Matanzas. There will be 2-3 per room. Each room has a/c, beds, dressers, bathrooms, and showers. The team will eat breakfast and dinner at the main house hotel. They have an upper veranda where the team will eat (the hotel owners cook the food), and can also use that space for worship/devotions. Lunch is usually at the church (church folks will make it). Breakfast is meats, cheeses, pastries, coffee (good coffee), tea, and juice. Dinner is meat (chicken usually), rice, and beans. Lunch varies, but nothing is out of control.

Extra Information:

- Most Cubans do not speak English.
- The toilet paper goes in a waste basket by the toilet. Do not flush toilet paper!
- Flexibility is King! Team Cuba has to be adaptable and willing to do DIFFERENT services EVERY DAY. We will be doing a construction project, kids vbs, elderly care, community/church visits, youth group services, sports VBS, food distribution etc

Applying for this trip:

Registration will appear as "Closed" on all EUS/GL trip-specific pages. "Closed" registration does not mean that students are unable to apply. All trips have this status because students do not directly sign up for a specific trip.
