Today we began our day with a good old fashion southern breakfast of biscuits and gravy. After devotions, we were off to meet with the community. Students spent much of the morning sharing the Gospel and praying over those in Helene who were sick or unable to leave their homes.
After lunch, the leadership team had a wonderful surprise for our students. We all jumped on a boat and headed to the clear blue Pigeon Cay Keys. Students jumped into the crystal clear water and enjoyed an afternoon of snorkeling around the reef. It. Was. Amazing! Did I mention the sharks?! As our students explored the reef, several nursing sharks swam through our team! No worries, all fingers and toes accounted for!
During our dive, the students found a lobster and a crab. Our cooks were sweet enough to boil them along with our fish fry. It was an awesome ending to an amazing day! To God be the glory!
