Time to bring the energy! We arrived at Baba Dogo today for the first day of our VBS program for the kids. After an amazing introduction and welcome from a bunch of the students, we headed to our groups. Each day, we are split into 5 groups and lead activities centered around Bible stories, music, dance, sports, and games. Today, we had 10 rotations of about 25 minutes each. I'm only able to attach 6 photos to these posts, so you'll have to see more details in your kids' photos. It was an incredible day! It's hard to keep up with them!
After a late lunch, we all split into 8 different groups and got to walk 3-4 kids home in each group. This is a beautiful way to end the day, because it allows us to spend more time with some of the kids and see where they live in Baba Dogo. Every group had wonderful stories to share about joyful families, strong mothers, and happy kids. We also heard many deep, powerful, and sometimes heartbreaking prayer requests.
We concluded the day with pizza from "Pizza Inn" ... not quite the same but it still somehow hit the spot, and our evening worship and devotional time.
Please continue to pray for our stamina and energy levels! These kids are bringing it, and we want too as well! Also, lift up the Baba Dogo community and the school where we are serving this week. More than 700 kids call MOHI Baba Dogo home, so let's ask God to continue to bless this important place!
