Nicaragua

The Mission: 

The main objective of this mission is to partner with Chosen Children Ministries in the dozens of barrio communities near the cities of Managua and Leon, Nicaragua to break the chains of multi-generational physical, emotional, and spiritual poverty by sharing the Hope of Jesus Christ.

You can expect to be immersed in disenfranchised communities, possibly providing food, building tin homes, putting on a VBS, or doing home visits. This trip will stretch your faith but you will be blessed as much as you will be a blessing.

The Travel:

The travel for this trip is very manageable. You will fly from Phoenix to either Miami or Houston. From there, you will take a direct flight to Managua. Depending on layovers, your total flight time should not exceed 8 hours.

The Accommodations: 

You will stay at the beautiful and spacious CCM guesthouse in Masaya. The campus is gated with 24-hour security. There will be 6-8 to a room. Each room is air-conditioned, with flushing toilets, showers and fresh water.

The food is exceptional and prepared fresh each day. The CCM staff do an amazing job offering authentic Nicaraguan food and some American favorites. Rice and beans are offered at most of the meals on campus, but eggs, pancakes, chicken, among other “American” foods, are served as well. Sometimes you work close enough to return to campus for lunch, but if you are working too far away to return the staff will pack sandwiches to take with you.
