Japan 2025

WHEN
Mar 4 2025 - Mar 12 2025
WHERE
Okazaki, JP
COST
$4,850.00

The Mission:

Students will enjoy being immersed in Japanese culture while being the hands and feet of Christ. The main objective of this mission is to show kids (ages 2-5) the love of Christ. As well, through helping teach Japanese people the English language, we hope to have opportunities to share our testimony and the Gospel. Team Japan will also experience many aspects of Japanese culture including visiting the Okazaki Castle, touring, harvesting and working at a tea plantation, learning Japanese calligraphy, learning a traditional Japanese dance wearing kimonos and sampling Japanese cuisine.

The Travel:

You can expect to spend LOTS of time in airports and airplanes traveling to/from Japan. It will typically be 2-3 separate flights with one flight being at least 7+ hours. You will need a passport.

The Accommodations:

You will stay in a local hotel in Okazaki with the rest of the team. There will be 2-3 persons per room. There is one bathroom and shower in each room with hot/cold water and a bidet-style toilet.

The hotel provides breakfast which will have various hot and cold foods as well as traditional Western foods. Lunch and dinner will be provided by United Planet.

The Japanese culture is one of great respect for people and the environment. The goal is to be immersed in Japanese culture and not try to bring in Western culture. Therefore, being polite and respectful is required.

Applying for this trip:

Registration will appear as "Closed" on all EUS/GL trip-specific pages. "Closed" registration does not mean that students are unable to apply. All trips have this status because students do not directly sign up for a specific trip. All students interested in a US or Global trip must apply to the General Application linked below, where students will share their top 3 trip preferences.
