Good morning!
We spent the morning with Pastor Tim (PT) of Street Reach. We discussed God’s sovereignty in setting this trip in motion and the plan He has for all of us while we are here.
PT is an urban missionary to Brinkley Heights. He shared that his calling is “to reach urban, impoverished families with the gospel of Jesus Christ.” He and his wife have spent a few decades involved with foster care, and their testimony is a beautiful picture of Jesus love!
Please pray for the children they have encountered to grow in their love for the Lord and for fruit to be reaped from the seeds sown by PT, his wife, and their community.
As this week continues, we will learn more from PT about praying “dangerous prayers.” Join with us as we pray for this community, kingdom work, and our own boldness in faith!
Our focus for this morning came from Luke 4:18-19 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” (See also: Isaiah 61:1-2a)
