Hello,

Today we started out believing this would be the last day of our time together, however, the Lord had different plans. Wesley led our devotions this morning and then we had a smorgasbord of items for breakfast trying to use up all of the odds and ends we had left. The last round of KP in the kitchen was done and rooms were swept and organized. Bill and I and the girls sat in the main worship service while the boys assisted with the Sunday School classes.

After church, we said our goodbyes to the youth and people at church and headed to Sambil mall’s food court for lunch. Everyone grabbed a quick bite and then we found out that our flight had been postponed. It was then we began trying to figure out our plan B with Dr. Tonkinson and American Airlines. Lunch taken care of, we went back to the Youth Centre to pack up all of our luggage, say goodbye to Lucas, Esther, Sem, Noa, and Zoe, and head to HATO Airport. We finally boarded at 4:45 and the flight left at 5:30. By 9:30 we were in Charlotte and at 10:30 we had finished with Immigration, rechecked our bags, and hopped on the shuttle to the hotel. Dr. Tonkinson called ahead to a Pub and Grill at the Holiday Inn across the street from our Marriott so we could eat dinner. While eating at 10:30 is not recommended, we certainly enjoyed our burgers and sandwiches! We checked in to the Marriott at 12:00 am and everyone is now in bed.

We will board the shuttle at 5:45 am and our flight is at 7:30 so we should be back in Phoenix around 9:30, Lord willing.

It has been such a blessed time and Bill and I agree this has been the best team and trip we have ever had in the seven years we have been going to Curaçao. It was truly a joyous 12 days and we thank all of you for making it possible!

In Him,
Lisa
