Today marked the second incredible day of VBS! We started the morning with breakfast before hopping on the bus, eager for another day of ministry. We arrived at MOHI Baba Dogo school and were met with bright smiles and eager hearts.
Today, we worked with some older children, ages 5-9, and what a joy they were! From learning the Church Clap to endless games of chase, their energy and enthusiasm were contagious. Our students stepped into new roles, leading different stations than they did yesterday, and it was inspiring to see them serve wholeheartedly, reflecting the love of Jesus in all they did.
A particularly special moment was when some children recognized Valley students from last year and exclaimed, "You came back!" What a gift it was to be reunited with them, a testament to the lasting impact of these relationships.
After VBS, we had the privilege of walking hand in hand with the children to their homes alongside the social workers. We were warmly welcomed by their families, who graciously invited us in. We shared wonderful conversations, prayed over them, and encouraged the mothers, who hold such strong faith. One woman’s words deeply moved us: "Jesus is all I have." And in both spiritual and tangible ways, that was profoundly true.
As the day came to a close, we returned to the guest house for much-needed showers, a delicious dinner, and devotional time. Though some students have experienced mild cold symptoms, they are doing well, getting rest, and are being supported by our team’s care and check-ins.
Tomorrow brings a new adventure—a sunrise safari, an elephant orphanage visit, and a trip to the giraffe park. We can’t wait to experience more of God’s creation and continue growing together on this journey.
Thank you for your continued prayers and support!
