We had a great send off at the airport with lots of support from friends and family. The travel went amazingly smooth from finding terminals, having plenty of time, finding food, clearing customs, collecting all baggage.

Our hosts Naoko and Elissa met us at Nagoya airport and we hopped on a charter bus to Okazaki. We went to Naoko’s Global Studies Cafe which will be our hub. Lunch was at our choosing around the area.
Today we picked out Kimonos for Saturday’s pictures and dance lesson.
We are all checked into our hotel and looking forward to an authentic Japanese dinner tonight!
