Day 2 - Outback Bound

Another fun and full day! We were picked up this morning and began the journey to the outback. We stopped at servos (gas stations) and continuing with tradition, the students want to try everything. We stopped at a little town called Denman where they got out and played on the playground. We then went to Dunedo (dunny-do) for lunch. After 6.5 hours we arrived at Gulargambone where we settled in for the night.

Ms Marshall and Mara cooked dinner for us and we spent the evening listening to Pastor Henry. Henry has an amazing story of how he came to Jesus and how he is a pastor now to the aboriginal people. He has had such a hard life and his faith and trust in Jesus is so inspiring. The students asked him questions and we ended with Josiah praying for him and Henry praying for us. Cooper and Avery cleaned up dinner and we got ready for devotions led by Kassidi, who did an amazing job focusing on “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done” part of the Lord’s Prayer. She challenged us to give everything to God so we can mean it. As a team we are doing our devos on this prayer. Ms Marshall led us last night for the beginning of it.

After a little star gazing, we called it a night. We are so proud of this team. They are all bonding together and it is incredible to watch.

We leave tomorrow for Brewarrina Christian School where we will meet some beautiful aboriginal children. Thank you for your prayers.
