Day 1: Welcome to Denver

“I’m excited to see where I fit in the story God is writing. I don’t know what it is yet, but I’m really excited to see where it takes me.” - Addi

The Lord has a story and a purpose written for Denver, and we are honored to be a part of it this week. Over the course of today, our students have had countless conversations and encounters that have shown time and again how amazing the Lord is to meet us in our weaknesses.

Our early morning lead straight into service with our host church. While the congregation at Mountain View Lutheran Church is small, they are warm and welcoming to our team. (We’re especially thankful for the sweet host who is allowing the guys to use the shower in her home. Praise the Lord for you, Bunny!) Pastor Edwin and our PPM leaders, Kari and Fran, have been outstanding leaders in their immediate challenges and support of our team to start the week outside of the Comfort Zone.

Welcome to this new church! Spread out among the congregation.
Here’s the community playground! If anyone walks up, invite them to church.
We’re going into Downtown Denver. Whenever the Lord leads, stop and speak to people.
Take these invite cards on your Walmart trip and don’t come back with any of them. Hand them out!
People we spoke to: young ballerinas in town for a competition, influencers in town from China, a kind couple who found their fascination with snow hilarious, locals in Walmart, and more!

How have you seen the Lord work in you today already?
“I thought I’d have more anxiety about going up to people, but I wasn’t afraid to talk to them.” - Annalise

It’s been a long long day, but we sit here thankful for every way the Lord has moved today. What an Awesome God we serve! How can we not be excited to do more for His glory!?

Psalm 145:3 “Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; His greatness no one can fathom.”
