You know what they say, time flies when you’re having fun. Yesterday we had more evangelism in the morning, and sports camp with the kids in the afternoon. A couple things that stood out, one of the SMT groups was talking to a woman and in the conversation she said she was waiting for a sign from God. our kids stayed with her and talked to her for almost an hour and by the end of the conversation she said that she thought our group coming to see her was the sign she was looking for!!! Obviously I can’t tell every story but that one stood out the most yesterday.
For sports camp we walked to the local baseball field/basketball court and there were about 50-75 kids who came and played sports with us. We started out shooting hoops, passing the soccer ball around, and playing frisbee but after a bit a group of us broke off and played a few innings of baseball, which turned in to kickball when some more younger kids showed up. At the end we gave all the kids snacks and headed back to home base.
After spaghetti for dinner, some of the MOH staff hosted a worship service, which was beautiful. Coach Snipes shared his testimony for our devotional and it was very impactful. The rest of the night was free time, which turned in to playing knockout at the camp’s basketball court and more party games at night.
