At 7:15, we were on the bus and leaving the grounds of Brewarrina Christian Schools. We could hardly believe we were leaving behind us the red dirt of the Outback, and that our trip is almost done.
It was a great ride with multiple stops for petrol, drinks, meat pies, snacks, bathrooms, and taking a picture with the Big Bogan! Andrew M. was fun and informative as always. Tucker helped us see clearly by cheerfully scrubbing Australian bug innards off our windshield. (Why are bug guts mostly mustard-colored??)
We arrived back at Green Point Christian College to empty and disengage the trusty trailer, clean out the bus, and observe some unexpected wallabies. :)
Back at our original cottages, we said (tearful) goodbyes to Andrew McGillivray. What a blessing he has been, and we all hope this is only the beginning of a long friendship!
Faith D. led our devotions this evening! Then pizza! And then we had a small flood in one of the girls’ cabins. After that was cleaned up, we played rambunctious rounds of Mafia while petting the big white dog named James Bond, and then went to bed!
