Sunday, Our Last Full Day in Bre (3/10/24)

Sunday morning, Faith, Ruby, Sorochi, Isaya and Jake left early for worship practice, and the rest of the team followed 30 minutes later. We gathered at church with other people from Brewarrina, and our team helped lead worship. Four more testimonies were heard from
Max G., Skyler H., Tucker R., and Sorochi A.

After church, the whole congregation ate together and we talked to as many people as we could.

Fun story: Kittren, just before church began, met a gentleman who used to ride in rodeos. She proceeded to tell him about Prescott, AZ and the rodeo there. Suddenly, the man unhooked his big, oval belt buckle, and there was “Prescott, Arizona Frontier Days” stamped on the front. Incredible! What a connection all the way out here in Brewarrina! :)

We hopped on the bus after lunch, and Nan, the 86-year-old Scottish woman who can climb up and over locked gates, joined us on the way to Weilmoringle to meet Josie and Vera! They are just darlings - two sisters who are amazing storytellers that blessed us with vibrant stories that painted verbal pictures of their childhood - some happy parts and some devastating. We, in turn, sang for them, and Zeke P. and Victoria V. gave their testimonies. We had a time of prayer, shared snacks and water that we brought, and it was time to go. We are so grateful Andrew M. introduced us to Josie and Vera.

Later we had kangaroo curry for part of our dinner! Kangaroo!

Andrew C. led our team devos; Max G. combined flip flops and socks. A boisterous game of Mafia followed, and then we called it a night!
