One Last Day in the Land Down Under

As our trip began to come to an end, we had one more adventure waiting for us. We spent the day at the Australian Reptile Park, where we got to experience some of Australia’s most unique wildlife up close. The students loved getting to pet kangaroos and seeing so many incredible animals. One of the most fascinating moments was watching snakes being milked for anti-venom—an important process that helps save lives. We even saw a Komodo dragon being walked like a dog, which was something none of us expected to see!

After the reptile park, we headed to Avoca Beach to enjoy one final afternoon by the ocean. The water was a beautiful shade of blue, and the waves were big and powerful. The students spent their time building sand castles, swimming in the surf, and soaking in every last moment of the Australian coastline.

Now we are heading home with full hearts. Over the past days we’ve made incredible friendships with people from across the world, shared our faith with the people of Brewarrina, and grown closer together as a group—truly becoming like family. This trip has been about so much more than travel; it has been about connection, service, and faith.

We are especially grateful for Andrew, who was not only an amazing guide but also a great friend throughout the journey. His kindness, knowledge, and hospitality made this trip even more special. We already miss him and this beautiful country.

These are memories we will cherish for a lifetime—memories made in the land down under that none of us will ever forget.

Until next time… see ya, mate 🇦🇺
