This was the second of our cultural days. We had an early breakfast and headed into downtown Athens at 8 AM. Zeta, our tour guide, met us at the Acropolis and we began our tour by hiking up to the Parthenon. Zeta told us so much of the history of this ancient site. She also read to us from Acts 17 before taking us up onto Mars Hill where Paul gave his famous evangelistic speech to the Athenians, “People of Athens! I see that in every way you are very religious…I even found an altar with this inscription: To An Unknown God.” (The last pic is us on Mars Hill.)
