I’m not sure if the Amazon has the Big 5 like they have in Africa, but if it does, I think we saw them all - Sloths, Alligators, Pink Dolphins, Monkeys, and Piranhas.
Today we went deep into the Rio Negro (an Amazon tributary), and had the awesome experience of feeding monkeys and fishing for piranhas. Both were successful adventures.
The night ended with a surprise Luau that Amazon Hope puts on exclusively for VCS students. Everyone dressed up for dinner but didn’t know that we were taking them to a beachside luau!
The evening ended with sweet worship and a meaningful devotional.
What a great trip we’ve had thus far! Two more days and then we’ll be headed back to the states!
