We landed in Sydney early this morning after our 16 hour flight. Quickly upon arrival we got a much needed coffee and a quick breeky! Right before meeting our guide Andrew our students got a quick interview with the Australian Channel 10 news. We just happened to strike up conversation and the news anchor welcomed us to wave and say hi to the people of Sydney! We spent the mid morning wondering around downtown Sydney admiring the Opera House and walking off the stiffness of the airplane. Then jumped into our van and headed for the outback. Lots of conversation, more games of imposter and a lively debate about Culver’s v. In-N-Out kept our students entertained for the first 5 hours of the drive. We managed to squeeze in a quick side trip to The Blue Mountains National Park to see The Three Sisters and stretch our legs. Dinner brought a visit with Henry a local Aboriginal. Henry is a part of the stolen generation (a deeply sad part of Australian history) that has come to know the Lord and has a deep desire for others to as well. Our students listened to his story and had a special moment of him praying over them. Tomorrow we wrap up our drive and officially make it to Brewarrina! Keep sending your prayers, big things are happening in Australia.
