Today was our first full day in Ensenada, Mexico. We woke up bright and early to hear student led devotionals as a group, and then we ate a delicious breakfast that included eggs, tortillas, fruit, and cereal. Along with coffee and orange juice. We then had a few students prepare lunches, while the rest of the group got ready for church. Around 8:30 we headed to church which began at 9:30. At church we listened to a translator who spoke while the pastor also spoke. The sermon was about overcoming spiritual lukewarmness. After church we headed to the job site and met the family that Baja Bound has partnered us with. We ate lunch together as a group and as soon as we finished eating we got straight to work. We divided into two teams, one of the teams was in charge of putting together the walls of the house, while the other group was in charge of painting all the walls and beams as well as the loft. Many of the kids in the group were able to interact and play with the couples son whose name is Angel Manuel. He is four years old and even though the family does not speak English we were still able to work together with them on this project. The group worked very hard and we finished earlier than we had planned. Around 4:30 we headed back to the house and when we got back we all went down to the beach and relaxed for a little bit. We then sat down and ate dinner together, and finished our night with an evening devotional led by a student. We are having a blast and your continued prayers are appreciated! Until later!
