Baja Bound! We Made It!

Engage Mexico has made it to Ensenada! We had a full day of travel, a few minor hiccups, but arrived with full hearts and are ready to serve. As it is late already, I will keep this post brief but wanted to let you all know how we are doing! Our flight was an hour delayed, but no big deal! We had a nice smooth flight of about 45 minutes and arrived in Tijuana with no issues. We were able to pick up our vans from the van rental company and were all set to go, however when we pulled up to pick up the group, the airport parking security insisted that we pay a $30 fee per van for ride sharing services. Of course this was an attempt to get a few dollars out of us, and we were happy to oblige. All that being said, it set us back a little bit longer than we had hoped, but once all it was said and done we hit the road! It was a smooth drive through Tijuana with no issues or concerns, once we arrived at the toll road we had a beautiful scenic drive down to Ensenada. We were able to watch a beautiful sunset from the highway. We arrived in town, stopped at the Calimax for some snacks and drinks, and then made our way to the houses. Our accommodations are very nice and we had a lovely dinner of mostly traditional Mexican food. Tortilla, beef taco filling, rices, beans, salad, and mango aqua fresca. We shared in some great devotional time and talked about fear, and specifically fearing God. We are ready to get going tomorrow with a church service before we arrive at the job site and meet our family. Your continued prayers are appreciated! We are tired but by all accounts very content. More photos and stories to share tomorrow!

Blessings!
