Wednesday was the last day of our vacation Bible school. We had been praying for God to open the hearts of the children that we would be serving and ministering. But in the end it was our hearts that were blessed and ministered to. Our kids got so attached to the kids that we were serving and working with for three days. When we had to say goodbye, there were tears on all of our students faces as well as the kids that we had gotten so attached to over three days. It was the sweetest thing to see. I have been blown away by how involved and active our kids have been with all of the kids that we’ve come in contact with. The light of Jesus has definitely shown through them all so sweetly.
In the afternoon, the boys were asked to help a family member of the church unload a semi truck full of tackle and bait. The store owners go to the church and they run a store down on the “spit” as they call it. The boys unloaded 2 tons of 50 pound boxes of frozen fish. They were worn out, but got in a really good workout ha ha. The owners of the store have a really cool God story and they shared their testimony with the boys. Because of the boys work of unloading the fish, we now get to go fishing today on their boat as well as take a boat ride to Gull Island. We are all looking forward to Thursday afternoon for sure!
