Today was filled with high energy, laughter, and unforgettable moments—it was soccer day! We got to sleep in an extra 30 minutes before heading out for our last full day at Baba Dogo. When we arrived at the school, the students were already buzzing with excitement, ready to hit the field.
Our girls kicked off the day with a match against the MOHI girl students, and what a game it was! A huge shoutout to our girls for bringing home the win! The intensity continued as our boys took the field for a tough battle against the MOHI boys. It was incredible to watch the determination on both sides, but once again, Valley came out victorious!
After a quick tea break, the staff game was up next. The staff girls faced off against two of our lady chaperones and students, bringing an exciting match with Valley securing another win. Then came the highly anticipated game: the guy staff versus our two male chaperones and students. This was a game for the books! Our boys—Wyatt, Noah, Luke, Colton, and Josh, along with others—gave it their all. It was one of the hardest-fought matches we've seen, culminating in a round of penalty kicks. In the end, Valley claimed another victory, though we all knew the MOHI team went easy on us!
Following the games, we gathered for lunch before experiencing a beautiful farewell ceremony prepared by the MOHI students and staff. Saying goodbye was hard—our hearts are forever tied to this place. We prayed over the students and MOHI community, asking God to continue His work in their lives.
This trip has left an undeniable mark on us. As one student shared, "I have grown more in this week than I have in six months." The experiences we've had are beyond words—only supernatural could describe them. Jesus is here. He is present in Kenya, loving His children abundantly. We are forever grateful to have witnessed His work and to have been a part of this journey, even for just a few days.
To Him be all the glory.
