Today we cleaned around the church, sweeping, mopping, cleaning windows, and cleaning the bathrooms. I could not be more proud of your kids for what great attitudes and hard workers they are. All of us as chaperones are blown away by the amazingly great spirits and willingness to do whatever we ask. After a morning of chores around the church and three of us going to a food pantry to cut up vegetables for food challenged people, we got to take two hours off and head to a cool
coffee shop in town and to the grocery store to get more snacks. At 4pm we had a family fun fair that the church had promoted where families of the community could hang out, kiddos could ride a pony, get their face painted and eat some cotton candy and snacks. Then from 6 to 8 PM was our western theme VBS. We had about 60 kids attend this evening. It was a bit chaotic as first nights go, but Jesus’ love and hope was shared. It was a great day!
