Monday Afternoon - Camp Day 1

We have had a great afternoon over here! We ate dinner with the kids and then started our Bible STEM camp. Unfortunately, a lot of the kids and Kahu Kerri, the pastor of the church, (Kahu is pastor in Hawaiian) are sick with the flu so only two kids were able to come to our camp this afternoon. Everyone had a great attitude and loved on those two girls and participated in all the stations together and it made for a great afternoon.
Our students played volleyball, taught a STEM lesson on air resistance where they made parachutes, made Gospel bracelets while sharing the gospel, and learned singing rounds from their choir director as well as a Hawaiian song.

We are heading back to the church to quick change into our swimsuits to go to Poipu beach and see the sea turtles come onto the shore and hang out for a bit - can’t come to Hawaii and not feel the sand between your toes!

Please be praying for the Ni’ihauan kids and Kahu Kerry to miraculously recover quickly so they can join us tomorrow - they are very sad to miss us and so are we! In all things, we know God has purpose for whoever we are able to connect with and we are grateful we get to serve the church in a multitude of ways throughout the day.
