Today was a day unlike any other on this trip. Instead of returning to the school where we’ve been hosting VBS, we made the decision to take a two-hour bus ride to the girls’ boarding school for church—and it turned out to be one of the best choices we’ve made.
When we arrived, we stepped into a chapel filled with 1,300 girls, all gathered to worship. What we witnessed was beyond words. Their passion, their voices lifted in praise, their love for the Lord—it moved many of us to tears. The way these young girls worshipped with their whole hearts was something I will never forget. Seeing God’s children praise Him so fervently and authentically was one of my greatest gifts.
After the service, we had the opportunity to share a meal with the boarding school staff and take a tour of the campus. What Missions of Hope International (MOHI) is doing here in Joska is truly inspiring. They are serving over 1,000 girls, providing them with food, education, life skills, healthcare, a loving community, and most importantly, a connection to Jesus. It was incredible to see firsthand how they are equipping these young women for a brighter future.
From there, we made our way to the boys’ boarding school, where we were welcomed with open arms. We learned about their school, their programs, and the impact MOHI is having on their lives. One of the highlights was a performance by the boys’ dance team—it was full of energy and joy, and we were so impressed!
After a faith-filled and inspiring day, we headed back for dinner, reflecting on all that God is doing in and through this ministry. Tomorrow is our final day of VBS, and we are ready to give it everything we have. Please keep us in your prayers as we finish strong!
