Travel Day Recap: From Phoenix to London!

Our journey began on Sunday evening as we gathered at Sky Harbor Airport, said our goodbyes, and prepared for the adventure ahead. Check-in and security went smoothly—well, mostly smoothly. One of our students brought a half-eaten Chipotle burrito wrapped in tinfoil in their backpack, and let's just say TSA wasn't quite sure what to make of it. Made for great laughs!

By God's grace and protection, we made it onto our flight to London. The flight itself was incredibly smooth, with delicious meals (seriously, the chocolate mousse was to die for). When we touched down in London, it was clear we were far from home.

After navigating the airport, we hopped on a bus and made our way to the hotel to drop off our bags. But the adventure didn’t stop there! Picture this: 30 students on a double-decker bus, weaving through London. If that’s not proof God still performs miracles, I don’t know what is! We made it to dinner, filled up on good food, and new experiences.

Now, as we settle into our beds safe and sound, we're filled with gratitude. God has been with us every step of the way preparing our hearts so specifically for what's ahead. We're expectant, waiting to see our Father’s love poured out in Kenya. His Spirit is with us, and we couldn’t be more thankful.

"For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together." — Colossians 1:15-16
