Thursday - a very merry unbirthday luau

Today we were blessed to have a bit more of a chill day serving at Kauai Christian Fellowship (the church where we are staying). We got some much needed sleep and had a later breakfast. Pastor Rick spent the morning with us and poured into our students, telling them some of his life stories and Hawaiian history. After lunch we cleaned around the campus and organized closets for the children’s ministry.
We quickly got freshened up and made our way to the luau for the night. We walked around the beautiful gardens, enjoyed an all you can eat buffet, and watched a show of authentic Hawaiian dances. After eating, we even had our own Michael Gowans decide it was his birthday and got up to learn the hula on stage. In case you’re wondering, he killed it.
Today we have our fun day with kayaking, tubing, and hanging out on the beach. Pray for a safe and fun day!
